Cafe 615 Home of DA Wabbitt in Gretna

Wow a hidden gem in NOLA, we underestimated Gretna's food scene. Away from the hustle and madness of Bourbon St, a calm and authentic New Orleans food you can't go wrong on. Their fried chicken and creoles were yum. Portion sizes were large too, and we were so full to move afterwards.

Both the food and service was great. It was my first time there and I was very pleased with the white beans & smothered rabbit.

The most perfectly fried catfish! Food is always good. Love the energy in the place.

Great little bar/restaurant. The bar was comfortable. Food was great. Staff was gracious. And the prices were reasonable. I would love to have a place like this near me at all times.

The food was excellent! They have the best crab cakes we've ever eaten. The blackened ribeye was AWESOME! Service was good.

Fried chicken and etouffee were amazing! Wish we could try more menu items, but we were only able to stop here once during our trip. Outside seating was good in cool fall weather.

A very old and well established restaurant. Well known for their hamburgers steaks but everything else is very good. The staff is excellent and friendly and courteous. The place is clean and so are the bathrooms. The bar is really really nice to sit at and eat. Couple of TV so you could see while you eat

This restaurant is a Westbank favorite! If you haven't been here, I highly recommend it.

I don't know what kind of slop this eggplant seafood casserole is supposed to be but it's disgusting. And the staff at the bar could use some etiquette training. Rude and dismissive. Last time I eat there. Can cook slop at home if that was what i wanted.

Visited last night and had the wabbit burger! It was huge and yummy! They have crawfish on Tuesdays they smelled so good but will have to visit again!

Firstly, our waitress was amazing, but all of them are. I specifically had the Brisket sandwich and omg it melts in your mouth like butter!!!! Its only a special, not sold everyday. Called ahead to see if serving!

Fantastic food. Every dish is delicious. The staff is very attentive. Great ambiance.

The service was Good. I will recommend the Calamari, the best had in a long time. There crab meat stuffing on three different dishes was on the very moist side. The eggplant casserole was salty and the stuffed fish was like eating straight salt. Very disappointed.

Tried their fried chicken. Awesome!

Quaint Gretna restaurant. Friendly folks, clean restaurant. Went with the Evening dinner crowd. Respecting the social distancing and masks. Had the blackened Tuna and veggies. Everything was cooked to perfection and tasted great. Great service and the staff is friendly and accommodating.

Friendly staff and great food. My wife loves the liver and onions while I enjoy the shrimp stew and catfish. Everything cooked like your grandma used to cook.

Great tasting hunk of lasagna! It was the special from the day before, but when I said I had seen it on Facebook or Instagram, they said they had another couple of pieces and so I got one. Very good. Meaty and tomatoey. 😃

Smells awesome like home cookin in there. Food was really good and adequate. Will def go back when I'm on the westbank. White chocolate bread pudding topped it off fabulously

First time to New Orleans and we found this gem. The manager is super friendly and took time to talk with us about local food and best choices. We went twice during our trip because we knew it would be good. Everything was delicious and fresh. All their condiments were made fresh and from scratch in their own kitchen. The fried chicken was amazing and the fried catfish was incredible. Obviously a location locals go to as it's off the tourist beaten path. Glad we found the place.

The ranch tasted sour. The shrimp and eggplant casserole was horrible. The hamburger Steak literally had a bad odor to it. I used to love this place but in the past year it has gone down hill.

OMG! This place is awesome. I had breaded porkchops. Fried to perfection, crispy, tender. Better than home cooked. Service was friendly n caring. Home style eating. Can't wait to go back. My friends all enjoyed their meals, too.

We Went Last Saturday night for A Friends Birthday Party in Private Dining Room.The Food is Always Great They had 3 Waitresses we were in the Very Back it took our Waitress to get our Drinks Longer than Usual and Our Food To to us Longer than the People in front of Room.Other than that it was a Good Time to Be With Friends and Family.Place is Always Busy and Clean.I've been before Usually during the Day Like I Said Food is Always Great and Our Waitress During the Day we always Ask for Her She is The Best.We will go Back mostly During the Daytime

Really wonderful place! We needed a place to eat on our last night visiting New Orleans and wanted to eat close to our hotel. We were a little unsure about the area at first but this is a fun family restaurant. Very nice! Lots of fun people showing up too on light up bikes for dinner! The portions are big and the food was delicious!

There is not a bad meal on their menu, food is outstanding, had the cried chicken today w/fries and baked mac. Delicious. Very friendly staff and decor is very New Orleans.

Bar tender was nice. That's why they got 2. The food was overpriced small portions and very bland. The crawfish queso was just outright BAD. the stuffed mushrooms were very blah. Not a fan wont be back.

Been going here since I was a child with my Grandma. Solid choice for LOCAL, REAL CREOLE food! VERY efficient service. Great spot for quick bites and place to take your family and friends alike. They have daily specials for every day of the week. You can never no wrong on whatever you choose. All their dishes are made in house. Definitely a local spot to check out! Even though it is on the West bank!😉

Incredible! I was really impressed. I have only been here once and didn't really know what to expect but I was blown away by the food and the services. I can't wait to return and try some of the other items on their menu. Be sure to ask for Deonne. This is New Orleans at its best!

It was my first time and the food was very good. The reason I deducted a star is that all wait staff was wearing their masks but our waiter. He served us and other tables without wearing his mask. I didn’t want to mention it because i didn’t want any confrontations, but he did serve many “old” (80’s) people which are in a higher risk for COVID.. I thought it was disrespectful. And Yes...I’m sure the management was aware of this as it was very noticeable!
